Matija Obreza

Matija Obreza is the focal point for genebank information systems at the Crop Trust. He also coordinates the development of Genesys and GGCE.

Matija obtained his academic degree in computer science and informatics at the University of Maribor, Slovenia.

Before joining the Crop Trust, Matija honed his engineering skills at the Genetic Resources Center of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) where he assisted with development of their information systems and introduction of barcoding to genebank operations.
