Using Crop Wild Relatives for Future Lentil Breeding Evaluation of Drought and Disease Resistance of Interspecific Hybrid Lines
- Grant No
- GS13051
- Project Description
- This project used crop wild relatives of lentil to conduct an evaluation of resistance to the three most serious problems in lentil production: fungal infection, parasitic plant infection, and tolerance to drought. The interspecific hybrid lines that were developed have great potential to improve lentil production amidst changing climatic conditions.
