What is the Genebank Academy and who is it for?
The Genebank Academy is an online platform hosted by the Crop Trust, designed for genebank professionals, researchers and students worldwide who want to improve their knowledge and skills in plant genetic resource conservation and genebank management.
How do I enroll in a course?
Simply click the “Enroll” button on the course page, which will take you to the selected course. Some course providers may require you to register first.
Are the courses free or do I have to pay?
Most courses are free, but some partner courses may have fees. Any cost is clearly indicated in the course description.
Will I receive a certificate upon completing a course?
Certificates are available for select courses. This information will be included in the course description.
What should I do if I have technical issues with the platform or a course?

Can I suggest new courses or topics to be added to the Academy?
Absolutely! You can submit suggestions by sending us an email at genebank.academy@croptrust.org.
What languages are courses offered in?
Currently, most courses are offered in English only, but some are also available in Spanish and/or French.
Can I share course content with colleagues or friends?
Public course pages can be shared freely. Some partners restrict access to course resources, and these should only be shared with authorized participants. You can always share Genebank Academy pages with anyone who wants information on a course.
How often are new courses added to the Academy?
New courses are added periodically. Check the Academy homepage or subscribe to updates to stay informed.
