During the Word Gastronomy Summit in Ecuador, as part of the pre-summit youth consultations, the Crop Trust will be leading the "Flavours of the Future: Agrobiodiversity and Nutrition in Ecuadorian Gastronomy” Workshop at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM). Focusing on agricultural biodiversity and resilience, the event will highlight the importance of preserving traditional food varieties and cooking methods.

Hosted by ULEAM, the conference explores how crop diversity underpins future food systems, particularly in the context of climate change, biodiversity loss, and shifting dietary patterns. Through an interactive panel discussion, participants will reflect on the importance of conserving and utilizing diverse crop varieties and their link to innovation in food, nutrition, and sustainability.
