Food Tank has named the Crop Trust among its 126 Food and Agriculture Organizations to Watch in the new year. A global think tank for food and agriculture solutions, Food Tank highlights organizations working to build “a more equitable, regenerative and delicious future.” The 2026 list also includes several of the Crop Trust’s close partners. These include CGIAR, the International Potato Center (CIP), the New York Botanical Garden, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the SDG2 Advocacy Hub, the United Nations System and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), among many others.

Our place on this list highlights the Crop Trust’s role in strengthening food security by securing crop diversity in genebanks worldwide. As the only organization with this global mandate, we ensure that essential crop diversity is conserved and available for use, forever – supporting breeding, research and adaptation efforts that underpin resilient food systems.
