- This project regenerated 592 accessions of cowpea, 543 accessions of maize, and 972 accessions of sorghum, in addition to its work with beans, pigeon pea; finger, minor, and pearl millets. The accessions that were chosen are unique (local to the host country and not yet duplicated elsewhere) and threatened. Their seed quantities are low and/or have a viability below acceptable standards.
