Project Description

Throughout this project, the ICRISAT, in collaboration with IER, Mali and LCRI, agro-morphologically characterized 74 accessions of pearl millet and evaluated 81 accessions for resistance to striga and downy mildew in Niger. The project aimed to assess genetic variation and identify potential sources of genes and make these available for use by breeders in NARS.
