- This a project proposal for the upgrading of the genebank documentation system at the national genebank of the sudan in the agricultural plant genetic resources conservation and research centre of the agricultural research croporation, Wad Medani, Sudan. The genebank documentation system SESTO is currently used activrely by the APGRC building which in terms of infrastructure in order to improve the capacity of the genebank documentation to handle the passport and management data as well as the characterisation and evaluation data in near furure. The objeective of the proposal is to : 1) upgrade the infe=rastructure for sustainable operation of SESTO in terms of hardware, and software. 2) Provide access to ude SESTO from outside Wad Medani in the sub-national units in Elbeid, Kassala, and Elhudeiba. 3) Develop capacity, and routines for exporting the MCPD data regulary to the genesys international PGR piortal.
