- Project Description
- This project with the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique du Niger (INRAN) and ICRISAT evaluated 1152 sorghum and 780 pearl millet accessions for drought tolerance and resistance to downy mildew, striga, smut, and anthracnose. The project identified 57 pearl millet, 542 and 690 sorghum accessions as potential sources of genes for resistance to downy mildew, tolerance to drought and resistance to smut and anthracnose, respectively.
