- This project with the Field Crops Research Institute, Viet Nam evaluated 200 rice accessions for tolerance to drought and salinity and resistance to brown plant hopper and bacteria blight. The project identified 45, 71, 44 and 89 accessions as potential sources of genes for tolerance to drought, tolerance to salinity, resistance to bacteria blight and resistance to plant hopper attack respectively.
