- This project facilitated the establishment of cryopreservation as an integral part of the long-term genebank strategy at CIP. It ensured a secure, well-documented cryobank through the creation of new protocols, standards, monitoring programs, and infrastructure investments. By the end of the project, the CIP cryobank contained 1,800 additional potato accessions and 800 additional sweet potato accessions.
