- Project Description
- During this project with the Institute of Plant Genetic Resources, Bulgaria characterized and evaluated 50 cowpea and 37 common bean accessions for resistance to diseases, resistance to insect pests, tolerance to drought and nutrient quality. The project identified 4 bean accessions as potential sources of genes for resistance to Xanthomonas campestris and 5 cowpea for tolerance to drought. Eight bean accessions were also identified for stable yield.
