- This project with IRRI and the Philippine Rice Research Institute and the International Network for Genetic Evaluation of Rice (INGER) evaluated 455 rice accessions for heat tolerance. The DNA fingerprints of the 23 accessions identified as potential sources of genes for heat tolerance was uploaded on the INGER (the International Network for Genetic Evaluation of Rice) website for use in the development of varieties to address the challenges of climate change for the benefit of farmers: http://seeds.irri.org/inger.
