- Project Description
- The project with CIP in collaboration with INTA, Argentina evaluated 106 accessions of sweet potato for tolerance to salinity. The project identified 20 accessions as potential sources of genes for tolerance to drought. In addition, a methodology for in vitro screening of salinity tolerance has also been developed. The project aims to make this process available for use by breeding programs and farmers.
