- Jump-starting the implementation of the GRIN Global platform from INIA Uruguay
- Project Description
- As a result of the consultancy undertaken by Mr. Tito Franco in 2017, it was identified that theSeed and Plant Genetic Resources Unit at INIA Uruguay, needs support to deploy, implement initial data loading into the GRIN Global platform and to capacitate gene bank personnel in the use of the curator module of the database. This project, supported by the Global CropDiversity Trust seeks to help the PGR Group of INIA Uruguay to deploy, implement and load data in a local GRIN-Global database, and to capacitate personnel in the use it’s curator module. This product will lead to improve data management and other relevant information activities in the genebank. This objective will be achieved through the financial and technical support to hire, for a 6-month period, of an IT technician that working with the existing personnel will ensure the achievement of the proposed products and allow to potentiate future work with this same objective.
