- The Agricultural Research and Extension Authority (AREA) in Yemen characterized 56 wheat accessions, 64 barley accessions 46 lentil accessions and 22 pea accessions for agro-morphological characters. The project resulted in the selection by farmers of 2 wheat, 2 barley, 21 lentil and 12 pea accessions for their agronomical acceptable on the basis of maturity, grain yield and straw yield.
