This project facilitated the action plan of the after an external genebank review. IITA created training courses for NARS, universities, and private sector partners, improved the viability of seed in MTS and increased availability, enhanced its GRC and GHU capabilities for regeneration and indexing, improved its data acquisition, handling, and management systems, and collected landraces and established a fieldbank for cassava in SEC Africa.
