Regeneration and Safety Duplication of Priority Crop Collection for Maize

Project Description

This project oversaw the regeneration of 85 accessions of maize. In doing so, it published information about vegetative and reproductive maize characters, encouraging farmers and researchers to use maize seed samples more often. This project also facilitated an undergraduate thesis of morphological characterization of Altiplano Chilean maize, contributing to the understanding of Chilean maize collections and facilitating future research activities.
