- One hundred forty-three (143) accessions of cassava, 100 accessions of sweet potato, and 1,000 accessions of rice were regenerated through this project in Malaysia. Their selection was based on certain phenotypic traits, such as tolerance to drought, resistance to diseases and pests (bacterial leaf blight, BLB; Brown plant hopper, BPH; and Blast), and high yields.
