- Project Description
- This project oversaw the regeneration of 2,400 accessions of maize and 3,300 accessions of rice in North Korea. The goal of characterizing the accessions that had not ever been characterized came to the forefront of the farmers' and germplasm-related laborers' efforts. The meaning and importance of safety duplication was emphasized, as well as the collaboration and partnership activities of several institutes in national crop germplasm management (collection, evaluation, exchange, etc.).
