- Six thousand (6,000) accessions of wheat were regenerated in this Albanian project. Some accessions were planted in a climatically different region than the main project site to assess their reaction with other indicators. Breeders carried out evaluations in the more unique wheat accessions in order to use them as probable new cultivars or as parents for wheat genetic improvement programs.
