Project Description

This project will support the Center for Pacific Crops and Trees (CePaCT) by providing financial assistance for the rehabilitation efforts of the Pacific plant genebank. It proposes to upgrade the capacity of the genebank through the refurbishment of conservation equipment and infrastructure and to update the directory of Pacific crop collections. It also proposes to restore the Pacific regional breadfruit plots that were damaged during recent calamities. A key outcome of the project is the enhanced conservation of valuable plant genetic resources within the Pacific Community.
