Catherine holds a Bachelor's in Biology and a graduate degree in Plant Genetic Resources Conservation and Management. She worked for over six years as curator at the Philippine National Genebank (NPGRL), serving as its head from 2022-April 2023. From May 2023-April 2025, she worked at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK, Germany) as a concept developer for the EU Horizon project PRO-GRACE, particularly in PGR documentation and information systems. With a background in genebank operations, PGR data management, grassroots conservation work, and international PGR networks, Catherine brings well-rounded expertise in the domain of plant genetic resources.
