Nico Wilms-Posen is responsible for the implementation of the Power of Diversity Funding Facility. In his role, he collaborates with partners from India, Colombia, Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria to promote the conservation, production and consumption of opportunity crops in national food systems.

Nico studied Agricultural Economics (B.Sc.) and Agricultural Development (M.Sc.) at the University of Hohenheim and University of Copenhagen and completed the postgraduate program on International Cooperation for Sustainable Development at the Centre for Rural Development in Berlin.

Before joining the Crop Trust, he worked as advisor and team leader for agricultural finance, policy and innovation projects at GIZ.
